Step Onto Christmas

Experiential

Client: Google / John Lewis
Agency: Hirsch & Mann

A fun large-scale interactive installation within John Lewis’ Oxford Street branch in the lead up to Christmas. The installation took inspiration from the film ‘Big’, but added a Google twist with users invited to control the piano via a Google Mini to either teach them or playback an Elton John song. Users could either say “Teach me how to play a song”, or ask it to “Play this song for me”. Having a play and surely attracting a small audience, they then had the choice to get a printed photo of themselves on the piano in a Christmas card envelope, to send to friends or family.

I was the Project Manager for the experience and was responsible for overseeing the development and final delivery of the experience. Christmas, Elton John, glitter - what’s not to love.
