Irresistibly Bueno
Client: Kinder Bueno
Agency: Anomaly
Production Company: FutureDeluxe
When you shrink yourself down to the size of a hazelnut, a Kinder Bueno becomes a landscape of wafer canyons, chocolate whirlpools, and creamy valleys stretching off into the distance. For Kinder’s US ‘Irresistibly Bueno’ campaign with Anomaly, we built that world in CG and took viewers on a journey through every layer of the bar, across three 15-second TV spots and a series of 15 and 10-second edits for social.
As senior producer, I ran the project day to day, from early look development through to final delivery, working alongside the creative director and a team of designers and CG artists.
The trickiest part was getting the ingredients to behave like the real thing. When the audience is essentially tasting through the screen, the chocolate has to pour, the wafer has to crack, and the hazelnuts have to land just right. Kinder hadn’t done much in CG before, so a big part of my job was guiding them through the process: sharing early simulation tests and look dev frames, explaining what each stage would and wouldn’t show, and building their confidence in the look well before final renders.
Once the films were locked, I oversaw the final stretch, including working with a third-party partner to version the suite of over 100 social assets and preparing the broadcast ready TV spots for delivery.
Terabytes of chocolate, wafer and hazelnut simulations, all to get one perfect bite.
When your audience is tasting through the screen, every crack of wafer and swirl of chocolate has to feel real.
