Bentley wanted to celebrate its 100th anniversary by looking towards the future, unveiling a new vision for Extraordinary Journeys with the creation of the Bentley EXP 100 GT concept car. To mark the occasion, UNIT9 developed The Future of Extraordinary Journeys, a multi-sensory installation that provided guests with an exclusive preview of the EXP 100 GT, a visionary concept car representing the future of luxury driving.
The celebration centred around the concept car, but we wanted to go beyond the typical automotive event and make the experience accessible to a wider audience, not just those attending Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe. To achieve this, we developed a campaign website featuring a WebGL-powered model of the car, allowing users to explore its design, craftsmanship, and innovative technologies. This digital extension of the event served as a platform to share Bentley’s forward-looking vision with a global audience.
Additionally, we created an AR iOS application that allowed users to explore the car in 3D, whether in Bentley showrooms across the country or from the comfort of their own homes or offices.
As the digital producer on the project, I was responsible for overseeing the production of both the website and the AR application. This involved collaborating with 3D modellers, technologists, designers, and developers to ensure the seamless execution of both platforms. I also worked closely with an on-site live stream team to broadcast the launch event to the public via the campaign website, bringing the excitement of Bentley's future vision to a global audience.
