Client: Le Printemps
Production Company: SHOWstudio
Le Printemps department store, renowned for its iconic location on Boulevard Haussmann in Paris, approached Nick Knight and SHOWstudio to create a series of innovative eye-catching window displays for their flagship store.
The project featured six unique interactive displays, each showcasing a blend of fashion film, oversized 3D polystyrene sculptures, and dynamic interactive elements. The windows allowed users to submit imagery based on six different themes, with content gradually revealed as the street activity triggered motion sensors. The combination of digital interaction and physical art helped transform the traditional concept of window shopping into a fully engaging, sensory experience.
As the technical producer on the project, I worked closely with the interactive designer, set designer, and local AV team, to ensure the seamless integration of both the digital and physical elements during the installation. My responsibilities included coordinating the build and technical setup, and troubleshooting any issues that arose, ensuring that the displays were installed smoothly and that we delivered Knight’s creative vision. The result was a visually stunning installation that added an exciting layer of engagement to Le Printemps’ legendary storefront.
